JS5 Heer M42 single decal helmet

Heer M42 single decal helmet, EF62 shell, lot number looks to read 229, with steel liner bands, all pins have their washers and are undisturbed, the brown colored leather liner is a bit dry and chafed, it is stamped in black ink size 55, the liner string remains, the full length leather chinstrap has been positioned over the brim for some time and was not undone for the photographs, the factory rough textured Schiefergrau paint rates at 80% or better and the pins still have most of their paint, sections of the left and right upper dome, the left rear side and lower right skirt have areas of missing paint, the exposed steel in those areas has taken on a uniform brown appearance, the Heer eagle decal is slightly tilted, it has some fine scratching and a chip to its left upper wing and the eagle's head, nice looking example, USD $1650
