Appealing service used Heer issue EM BergmĂŒtze, constructed of early mid war quality field grey colored issue wool and having the classic shape of this type with high peak, short brim, and internal stiffener for the peak, having a single enameled ventilation grommet per side, lining is of a grey colored flat cotton, the maker and size stamps have faded but size is approximately 57/58, with full brown colored leather sweatband, the machine woven subdued T form insignia is originally factory hand sewn, the metal Edelweiss is hand applied using black cotton thread, with two Steinnuss-style buttons with fine cracking originally sewn to the front, cap shows age and soling but there is little actual nap wear, there is some faint creasing to the internal brim stiffener, USD $2760
