WW1 Midland Railway War Service Badge E15147

A scarce original First World War period 1914-1918 gilt brass enamel circular badge, blue enamel title surround, Crowned 'RAILWAY SERVICE' to centre on white enamel ground, the reverse impressed with maker's details Thos Fattorini Bolton', impressed with official issue number 'E15147' and 'Regd 638232'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example.Diameter approx 28mm.
