WWII Army Air Force Officer's 'Flight Weight' Crusher Cap

The olive drab wool gabardine body of the cap displays the distinctive 'crushed' appearance that was developed from removal of the crown stiffening wire. The brown leather visor is soft and pliable. The body of the cap has scattered spots and small holes. The interior leather sweatband is present, but loose in spots as a result of loss of stitching. The full crown liner is also present and intact, below which is the printed 'Flight Weight' name and the manufacturer name of the Radio Cap Company. The cap has an interior size tag of '7'. The cap exhibits signs of wear and use, but it makes a very good appearance and shows great character.
