Description

This is an attractive - and with certainty worn- and/or carefully cap- ie. possibly even tunic-removed! - example of a multi-coloured- and/or typical 'Feinzink'-based cap-shield (ie. 'Mützenschild') entitled: 'Hrvatska-Legija 1941' (being the Serbo-Croat spelling for the Croatian Legion) as was specifically intended for usage by a volunteer who served within the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the 'Kroatische Legion' and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. nicely preserved and/or once cap- ie. tunic-attached-), condition. The zinc- (ie. typical 'Feinzink'-) based shield that shows the typical red-coloured 'checkered shield' comes mounted onto its period (and still functional) pin- (ie. pin/catch-) set-up and comes as recently found and/or used: it is just a tiny bit tarnished ie. minimally stained simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular piece - that is totally void of a makers-designation as more often - originates from an older collection of WH-volunteer-related badges and awards. Simply an attractive example of this interesting WH-volunteer-related cap-badge that shows true character and that is I deem accordingly priced!
