US Indian War Era, Army, General Officers Sword Hanger

Original period manufacture. Reddish brown leather straps, each decorated with three thick gold wire stripes. Gilded brass adjusting buckles on each, with a gilded brass attaching hook at the top. Minor scattered spots of thread wear, mostly on the longer of the two straps. Leather remains pliable.
