Original period manufacture. Tan canvas, two pocket magazine pouch for the M1 Carbine. No US markings, inked name under the flap to J.F. FLORENTINE, unit marked on the reverse 3M-5, makers name S.F. CO. with an unreadable date. Doing a quick look on Ancestry, several listings for Joseph F. Florentine came up, Pharmacist Mate 2nd and 1st Class, with USMC entries from April 1943, to October 1945, all look to be aviation units.
