Original period manufacture. Original period manufacture. Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, 14 karet gold medal numbered on the suspension loop, 12604, as worn by 1st Lt. Jacob M. Seibert, 93rd Pennsylvania Infantry. He was a member of the California Commandery and was wounded at the battle of Opequan Creek (3rd Winchester) 19 September 1864. He enlisted October 3rd 1861, and was discharged for wounds March 8 1865. Born 1843, he died in San Francisco in 1922. Wear and fraying to the ribbon as shown. His name is listed on the Pennsylvania Monument at Gettysburg.
