$125.00

Description

Original period manufacture. A large format document measuring 10.5 x 16 inches, with an official seal in the bottom left corner. The document confirms the possession of 159 acres of land to Pah-Ah-Bo, or Andy Werwickah, a Comanche Indian, residing on the Comanche, Kiowa and Apache reservation. Pah-Ah-Bo was born in 1892 and died in 1918, perhaps a WWI veteran. His father, Kar-No was born in 1865 and died in 1932. The reservation was established in 1867, as a result of the Medicine Lodge Treaty.
