US Civil War Era, US Navy Fuze Pouch, Navy Yard N.Y. 1863

Original period manufacture.Black leather, rigid body black leather pouch, with a single, wide style, belt loop on the reverse. Clear markings on the flap, the body is not oiled or flattened. The closure tab is sound and pliable. There is a horizontal stitch line on the rear of the pouch, which has separated on one side, otherwise the pouch is quite sound.
