WW2 German Wehrmacht – S/155 K – BAYONET & SCABBARD – 1934 – EARLY – RARE!

You are bidding on an EXCELLENT example of a WW2 German Vet Pick-Up K98 Bayonet! An EARLY 1934 variant, this comes complete with the original scabbard and frog!Made of wood and steel, this German K98 Bayonet and Scabbard are in EXCELLENT condition considering their age. Some slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. The blade has some very light sharpening on the edge, but I suspect that could be removed by simply re-bluing, if one wished. Made by E. & F. Hörster, Solingen, this is the FIRST production run, beginning in 1934 (K Code).It is marked:S/155 K9055iThe scabbard is original to this knife, but is 100% MATCHING. Condition matches that of the knife, with some minor marks and scratches due to the age. It is also marked:S/155 K9055iThere is a waffenamt on the finial, but it is too small for me to make out. Comes complete with the original frog. Frog has a very faint makers mark, but it is fairly illegible, due to wear and age. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
