Used to store the Leitz 7×50 Porro II Ship Binoculars, this set includes the original Leather Strap and Sun Filters!German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service.Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis.This specific binocular was used by U-Boat crews, ships, and coastal artillery.Made of Ersatz Leather, this 7x 50 power Binocular Case is in EXCELLENT condition! 100% COMPLETE, there are no breaks, dents, or damage! Some marks and scratches from storage as you can see in the photos, but EASILY the BEST I have seen of its type! Also includes the original RARE Leather Strap (these are always missing or broken), as well as the Sun Filters! Spring Closure works as it should, and remains tight. The top features the KM Adler, and is impressed with the manufacture date of1942and a clear 'beh', indicating'Leitz'.Some slight marks and wear due to the age, but otherwise PERFECT!
