You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 United States Army M10 Ammunition Trailer Loading Instructions Data Plate!The Jeep trailer was a small, 1⁄4 short ton (0.22 long tons; 0.23 t) payload rated, cargo trailer, designed in World War II, tailored to be towed by 1/4-ton jeeps.The American Bantam Car Company of Butler, Pennsylvania, was the original designer of the U.S. Army ¼-ton jeep and later built the matching Bantam T-3 trailer under Quartermaster contract beginning in 1941. Designed to be towed by Willys MB and Ford GPW jeeps, the Bantam T-3 carried ammunition, fuel, and field gear in every major WWII theater. Each trailer left the factory fitted with an identification plate showing manufacturer, contract, serial, and key specifications – the plate offered here is one of those original plates.Made of aluminum by the American Bantam Car Company, Butler PA, this data plate is in EXCELLENT conditionf or its age!
