A scarce original First World War the first early issue 'Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Service badge'; gilt brass blue enamel title surround 'Transport Service' to the centre on white enamel ground, the reverse impressed with official low issue number '65'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.Diameter approx 26mm.The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway issued four patterns of war service badges, this one being the first.
