WW2 German Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet With Luft.Signals Unit Markings

A good untouched Luftwaffe double decal M35 combat helmet with markings to underside of liner for a Luftwaffe Signals Unit.The Q ( Quist ) produced helmet retains a very high proportion of its original factory blue paint with scuffs & chips to shell indicative of heavy service use. Both decals remain present with correlating age & wear to both. All three of its liner pins remain totally undisturbed having matching paint to exterior & unbent arms internally. Examination of the reinforced aluminium band ascertains a 1938 date with 'Q64' '767' lot number to underside of rear skirt. Upon close examination the very faint remains of a name can be seen scribbled onto the metal below the lot number. Leather liner size marked '57' with some faint initials visible to the tip of one of the leather fingers. Finally , the totally original chinstrap has a grey painted steel buckle & came on the helmet when acquired.An honest M35 Luftwaffe helmet that has clearly seen life with a flight crew signaller or ground combat unit such as Paratroopers or Field Division troops who absorbed many such support personnel as the size of the Luftwaffe flight arm diminished in 1944.
