Spirit of London P&O shipping line ships wheel badge c.1972-74

A scarce original circa 1972 to 1974 shoty lived period 'Spirit of London souvenir pin brooch', large gilt and white enamel ships wheel, the centre mounted with 'Eros' the Greek God of Love on blue enamel disc. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.Diameter approx 34mm.When Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company later acquired Princess Cruises in 1974, the Spirit of London was transferred to that fleet, becoming the 'Sun Princess'.
