Interesting Field-Made Waffen-SS Camouflage Cap

This consignment piece comes from a very distinguished, decades-old collection, and was obtained by the collector from an elder collector, as far back as the late 70s / early 80s. The cap is completely hand sewn from top to bottom, including the lining, the bill, the application of the buttons — all by hand. It is made from likely part of a zeltbahn, in oakleaf pattern.The rear of the cap shows an additional piece sewn in by hand in a wedge shape, to make the cap larger. Not a heavily used item, but definitely it shows wear, and authentic construction and materials. Pictures tell the story. An interesting item, priced appropriately. COA accompanies.
