WWII German Knights Cross with Ribbon by C.E. Juncker w/Dietrich Maerz Authentication- This is considered to be the 'Holy Grail' of all of the Knights Cross manufacturers. Produced by Juncker, this is very nicely marked. The top of the cross is marked '800' for silver content, next to the code L/12 for C.E. Juncker of Berlin. The marking spacings indicate that this is a post March 1941 production. The loop is also marked '800'.The black finish to the iron core is perfect. The frame is shiny and shows only light toning. The frame meets all of the characteristics of a Juncker production as well.This badge shows just enough wear to know that it was awarded, and worn, this is not an unissued medal. This comes with a piece of original ribbon. The ribbon itself is an original example in excellent condition. An excellent opportunity to obtain one of the most prestigious awards given during the period of the Third Reich! Only about 7,200 of these badges were awarded during the war.
