This was presented to special personnel and officers of Grosse Kampffliegerschule 3, when the school was disbanded in 1942, and re-designatedKampfschulgeschwader 1.Kampffliegerschule was formed on November 1, 1938 in Lechfeld , by absorbing Fliegerlehrgang Oldenburg, from 1.1.40 Stab/Grosse Kampffliegerschule Warschau-Okecie, and on 15.1.40 became Stab/Grosse Kampffliegerschule 3. Pilots trained here flew the Me109, Do17, Do217, Fw44, Fw58, He111, Ju86, Ju88 and W34. After being re-designatedKampfschulgeschwader 1 in 1942, it eventually became KG101.Made of painted, glazed, and fired porcelain,this is an AMAZING one of a kind item!Has some very slight wear, but is in otherwise EXCELLENT condition for its age!Imprinted in the center are the logos/shields of the 3 main Gruppe (I, II, and III), and indicates:Grosse Kampffliegerschule 3Lechfeld – Warschau – Greifswald1939-1942Also features a marker mark on the reverse.
