Here on offer is an unusual version of a Nazi period WHW fund raising badge depicting a 'Prussian Soldier 1864', which dates to 1938.A WHW winter help Nazi fund raising badge from the Military Uniforms series, depicting a Prussian Soldier embroidered in coloured silk in a metal frame.The pressed metal frame has now lost some of its grey paint finish. It has raised lettering at the top and bottom of the frame that read as:WHW1937-38On the reverse it still retains its original pin fasteningThese Nazi period pins were produced by the Winterhilfswerk Des Deutschen Volkes Winter Relief Agency of the German People, or WHW.They were a public charity fundraising organization established in Germany by the Nazi Party in 1933.
