Description
You are bidding on aVERY NICE used example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Wehrmacht Aluminum Teaspoon, stamped'H.M.Z. 38'(Heinrich Müller Zella-Mehlis). These were used in various Air Force Mess Halls and Galleys throughout the war.Produced in 1938 for Army field-issue use, this pattern represents the early aluminum cutlery supplied before the transition to steel later in the war. Zella-Mehlis was one of the primary production centers for wartime arms and cutlery, supplying the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe with mess utensils through mid-war.Made of aluminum, this is a FANTASTIC example! There are some slight wear and marks due to the age, but nothing that detracts. No bends or corrosion, all markings clear and legible. It is marked with the National Eagle, as well as the maker code and production year.Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
