These were used in various Army Barracks and Mess Halls throughout the war.Produced in 1940 for Army field-issue use, this pattern represents the early aluminum cutlery supplied before the transition to steel later in the war.Gebrüder Petzold, Silberwarenfabrik, Wedding – Berlinwas one of the primary production centers for wartime arms and cutlery, supplying the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe with mess utensils through mid-war.Made of aluminum, this is a FANTASTIC example!There are some slight wear and marks due to the age, but nothing that detracts.
