'First Over Germany: A Story of the 306th Bomb Group'

Hardcover, published 1946. Approximately 8 inches by 10-7/8 inches. The pages are unnumbered. The covers show some wear, but the book is complete, intact, and in very good condition. Interestingly, the men and officers of the 306th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force were the basis for the novel and the film 'Twelve O' Clock High'. The novel and the film dealt with the fictional 918th Bomb Group, which was created by the author by multiplying the designation of the 306th Bomb Group times three.
