RMS Pretoria Castle Union-Castle Line silver ships picture badge

A scarce original circa late 1940's period 'R.M.S. Pretoria Castle scarce souvenir ships pin brooch', exceptionally large impressive example the reverse impressed 'MADE IN ENGLAND' 'STERLING SILVER' 'RHODIUM PLATED'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, colours remain bright.Size approx 46 x 32mm.RMS Pretoria Castle passenger ship was owned by the Union-Castle Line, built by Harland and Wolff at Belfast and launched on 19 August 1947, departing on her maiden voyage in July 1948. In 1953, she was present for the fleet review as part of the Coronation of Elizabeth II.
