German WWII Short Model Dress Bayonet by Eickhorn-This is a fine bayonet by a desirable maker that has some very nice characteristics. The finish on the nickel-plated pommel, crossguard and fittings are very good, and I would say they are a conservative 95% intact. The checkered grip plates are also excellent as are the rivets.The mortise button is fully functional. The leather buffer is still in place under the crossguard as is the red felt in the slot. The black painted scabbard shows only light wear and is in excellent condition overall. It too retains approx. 95% of its black paint. The ball at the tip is undented, but shows slight finish loss. The blade is near excellent and is marked with the early Eickhorn squirrel logo. This comes complete with its original leather frog, and a correctly tied green and silver knot. This is a great short model bayonet in many ways, in fact, I'd call it excellent.Online checkout is not supported for edged weapons.
