US WW2 Rough Out Service ShoesOfficially known as 'Shoes, Service, Combat, Reversed Upper, Type III' in the WW2 US Army Quartermaster Historical Studies these were constructed with flesh out leather, a full length composition sole and toe cap;They retain the four rivets typical of early production rough-outs and have been greased/polished which gives them a slight sheen.Shoes are size 8 1/2C, the maker markings inside the shoe are illisible. Boots remain unworn and could be rated as MINT.This type of shoes is typical footwear of the GI during the Normandy landings and subsequent fighting in France and the liberation of Europe.
