Bronze Memorial Plaque, named to:HENRY ALFRED DYER.Plaque in good order.3843/B Henry Alfred Dyer Royal Naval Reserve, died on 30th October, 1918.He is buried at Freetown (King Tom) Cemetery Sierra Leone . Henry was born at Carlton Colville on 30 July 1884, a son of William and Sophia Dyer. He was baptised at Saint Peter's Church, Carlton Colville, on 14 September, 1884. In 1891 his family lived at 13 South Elmham Terrace, Carlton Colville. Henry's mother died in 1899. In 1905 Henry lived at 40 Southwold Road, the family home of his future Wife.Papers state that he died from bronchial pneumonia (probably as a result of Spanish flu) on 30th October 1918 and interred at Sierra Leone.
