A scarce original circa 1960's period 'British Tuberculosis Association Nursing qualification badge' chromium plated blue enamel title circlet, the centre depicting an embossed double cross and lion logo and suspended from a 'TUBERCULOSIS NURSING' blue enamel bar, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ld 36 Barr St B'Ham' an address format used circa 1961. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, actual pin an old replacement, no damage to the enamel.Height approx 49mm.The British Tuberculosis Association was a professional medical organization that played a key role in the fight against tuberculosis, promoting research, standardizing clinical practice, and contributing to national health policies.
