.SERGEANTS/ NCO'S CROSS BELT PLATEWM.Bolton formed a Volunteer Corps at a meeting at the Town Hall, on 13 July 1859, and the 27th Lancashire Rifle Volunteer Corps was formed In 1876 it absorbed the 82nd LRVC, formed at Hindley in 1863, and in 1880 it was redesignated as 14th LRVC.
