Description

Completed Army Form B2067, 4 sides, detailing particulars of one 6776 Pte John Plews who served with the 8th (TF) Battalion (HQ Durham) and served in France and Flanders. Looks like he may also have served with the 9th (TF) BN as 9/2907 (annoted on top line of his MIC). Also his Silver War Badge certificate confirming a SWB issue with the number 340208. Copy of Medal Index Card (MIC) to be provided, which confirms his entitlement to a 1914-15 Trio and date of discharge as 10th February 1917. Location of medals / SWB not known. The SWB certificate is a bit tatty and has an old tear across the top and an old Cellotape repair. The reverse has been used for noting his football result draw pools / competition and the address to contact for potential winnings. The Army From B2067 is folded and a bit grubby but all legible. Signed by Captain A. Vane Tempest (69th TF Depot).Comm DaSm
