Rare Dutch Nationale Jeugdstorm knife with motto by Eickhorn Solingen

Rare Dutch Nationale Jeugdstorm knife with motto by Eickhorn Solingen. This is a truly rare and genuine Dutch knife for members of the Nationale Jeugdstorm. This organisation followed after the German Hitlerjugend and carries many similarities. These knives were issued to members and are extremely scarce to find nowadays. As with all Dutch National socialist memorabilia, most were destroyed or discarded in 1945. The blade has been used and sharpened which is normal for this type of knives which saw lots of use. The blade retains the Eickorn logo on one side, and the etched Moed en Touw which was the Motto of the Jeugdstorm on the other. The grips are immaculate, perfect without damage. The enamel badge in the grip is the original example firmly attatched. The scabbard is a textbook ezample in good condition with factory finish. The leather is in good condition but the small strap around the neck has torn as usually. The knife was bought out of the woodwork and has never been in collectors hands before. It was once worn by a member called Gijsbert who resided in Utrecht during the war.This is a scarce opportunity to acquire a Dutch Stormersmes in great condition. It is regarded by many as one of the Holy grails for Jeugdstorm collectors. In my brief research I know there must be a very low number of surviving examples with most of them damaged or removed/restored insignia and have badly damaged grips. Surely one of the better Dutch collaboration items I have been able to offer!
