Q66 M40 Waffen-SS ex single decal ID'ed Victoria Kaserne Hamburg

Very nice and personalized Waffen-SS single decal M40 helmet marked Q66 indicating production by Quist. The helmet once had a bright Waffen-SS decal to the right side which was removed at some point. The helmet is named toKradmelder Franz Berndt, LS Pol Gruppe Victoria Kaserne.TheVictoria KaserneinHamburgwas a notiriousPolizeiheadquarters where many captured Jews where imprisoned later to be transported to destruction camps such asNeuengammewhich is really close! Allthough the helmet no longer retains its SS decal – its a real peace of history that would be a great base for further research!
