MINT BOXED WW1 PAIR & MEMORIAL PLAQUE, OFFICER 383rd SEIGE BTY R.G.A, DIED EGYPT 16-4-1918

Mint boxed WW1 pair & Memorial PlaqueTo- 2-LIEUT.E.PUTNAMEdmund Putnam from Finchley, London was born 1882 & had seen prior service with the 3rd Middlesex volunteer artillery. He initially landed in Egypt as Gunner with the R.G.A & went on to be commissioned in to the R.G.A in January 1917. He died in Egypt 16-4-1918 serving with the 383rd Siege battery of the R.G.A & is buried in Alexandra (Hadra) war memorial cemetery.
