WWII German Army Model 1936 Infantry Major Service Uniform, Named-This is a very good quality example produced in dark field grey wool. There is minor wear and minor discoloration throughout from use. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a five button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. The dark green badge cloth collar has some wear and discoloration. The tabs are hand applied. They are matte silver bullion over dark green badge cloth with white litzen. The shoulder boards are the sew in type with a matte grey wire braid over white badge cloth. The ciphers are for the 93rdInfantry but one is missing the '9'. The officer breast eagle is hand applied. It is bright silver bullion with silver flat wire highlights over dark green wool. There are loops for two badges on the left breast pocket plus loops for a medium sized ribbon bar above the pocket. There are French cuffs and there is a ribbon for a War Merit Cross sewn to the button hole. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in fine condition. There is a single pocket on the left side. This has the name and rank of the wearer. His name is Fredrich Behne and at the time he acquired the uniform he was a captain.
