WWII German Luftwaffe Paratrooper Smock

WWII German Luftwaffe Paratrooper Smock-This is a fourth model example in the tan and water pattern (sumpfmuster). This is what collectors call the 'soft edge' pattern. The material is extremely soft and in excellent condition. There are only a few small spots of discoloration and some extremely minor wear to the collar. There is fading throughout. The breast eagle is missing but you can clearly see where it once resided. All of the bakelite buttons are present. The zippers are white bakelite and function as intended. Each is marked 'Ri Ri' and has a grey leather pull tab. The snaps at the hem are all intact and marked 'PRYM' The reverse has the pistol pocket with small grey bakelite buttons. The snaps at the cuffs are identical to those at the hem for the leg closure. They all function as intended. The interior is unlined and uses tan cloth for pocket reinforcements etc. The draw string is in place and secured underneath a strip of light grey rayon. The same rayon is used for the pistol pocket reinforcement. It is unmarked or possibly the markings were worn off from use. It appears to be a size medium. This is a great buy!
