A scarce original circa 1960's period 'British Tuberculosis Association Thoracic Nursing qualification badge' chromium plated blue enamel title circlet, the centre depicting an embossed double cross and lion logo and suspended from a 'THORACIC NURSING' blue enamel bar, the reverse inscribed 'G.H.K H O' MAY 1969 REGD. NO. 3525.' Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.Height approx 47mm.The British Tuberculosis Association was a professional medical organization that played a key role in the fight against tuberculosis, promoting research, standardizing clinical practice, and contributing to national health policies.
