WW1 PairTo- 1920.PTE.C.SMITH.R.SCOTSCharles Smith was both born & lived in Dirleton, East Lothian & enlisted in North Berwick. He died of wounds at home 2-12-1916 whilst serving with the 8th battalion of the Royal Scots. He was 38 years of age at the time of his death & is buried in Dirleton parish churchyard.
