The mother cross in silver is in used condition and complete with ribbon.The silver cross was awarded to the German mother who had 6 or 7 children.The MutterkreuzThe German Mother's Cross (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter) was an award in Nazi Germany, instituted on December 16, 1938, by Adolf Hitler.It was given to German mothers as recognition for bearing and raising multiple 'racially pure' children, in line with National Socialist ideology.The Mother's Cross had three grades:Bronze (for 4-5 children)Silver (for 6-7 children)Gold (for 8 or more children)The award was intended to increase birth rates and promote the 'Aryan' population policy.
