An iconic Prinz Heinrich mariners' cap with Nazi political insignia. Black wool pillar box-style cap with an oak leaf embroidered band and soft embroidered peak. Leather chinstrap with two buckles, secured with gilt marbled buttons. Red silk liner with Prinz Heinrich mutze manufacturers mark. 1938 pattern political eagle to the front with a single strand oak leaf cockade. The cap was named after Imperial German Grand Admiral Prinz Heinrich of Prussia - the younger brother of Kaiser Wilhelm II, and based on the uniform cap of the Imperial German Navy.
