A NSKK (MARINE?) DAGGER BY C.J. KREBS DOUBLE MARKED!!

Part of an old collection purchased last week. This is a really great and interesting NSKK dagger. Factory black painted scabbard but also the grip is virtually black too. I'm not too convinced about the theory that NSKK 'marine' units had black grips, but this certainly fits the bill! Grip is perfect with an aluminium eagle and perfect SA button. The crossguards are also ALUMINIUM. Some thing it seems this maker used on the later daggers. Most unusual. These are in perfect condition. Scabbard is perfect. Original paint with some spidering. Nickel plated steel fittings which show no lifting but have toned down a little. There is a single hanger with RZM marked snap clip and a brown belt loop.The blade is beautiful and stone mint. All the crossgrain polish. These are called 'transitional' pieces as they carry the makers logo as well as the RZM code. This is by Carl Julius Krebs. Has his crown trademark with the stylised K and SOLINGEN beneath. Above all that is a large RZM circle and M7/5.
