Dutch 'Gebroken Geweertje' Badge. The broken rifle was a symbol of pacifism in the Netherlands and in Belgium before the Second World War. The horrors of the First World War caused a major anti-militarist movement, people wore these pins as a sign of pacifism. The badge is of course complete with its functional pin/catch construction. Nice original badge in good condition!
