Service worn Heer M44 service blouse for an Infanterie EM in gabardine fabric, the body's shell is constructed of field grey colored 'iron gabardine' fabric, the type was intended normally to be worn with the collar open but had the provision for closure with a buttoning tab under the collar, having a six button front, two patch chest pockets, a separate pieced waistband and adjustable cuffs, lining panels, internal pocket bags and belt hook support straps are made of dark grey colored rayon, the two internal pockets have pressed paper buttons as do the cuffs, there is a strip of off white tape like bias material sewn between garment body and waistband section, the size stampings are in dark purple colored ink and include the depot E.44, the prominent black RBNr stamp is positioned above the size markings, the insignia is factory applied with the subdued woven Litzen collar patches being straight machine stitched, the subdued woven national emblem is applied in the shape of a triangle by machine straight stitching through the lining, the factory installed shoulder strap bridles are made of standard field grey wool, the matched pair of slip on shoulder straps have gabardine upper panels with white rayon piping, the lower panels look to be from recycled garments, the straps' tongues are fashioned from double rows of grey colored HBT tape, the blue painted pebbled steel buttons are the later style with full wire shanks, all match and all are originally stitched, an EKII ribbon is applied with black cotton thread to the second closure buttonhole and this looks to be originally done as the fabric is fresher underneath, overall garment show a tone of light soiling and wear, especially at collar's edge, there is no damage, seldom found unaltered, actually worn and with matching shoulder straps, USD $3700
