French M1866 Chassepot Bayonet, St. Etienne 1872

Original period manufacture. Very clean postFranco Prussian War era Chassepot bayonet, mismatched serial numbers blade to scabbard. The blade isclean in factory polish with scattered spotting and staining from age. Mellow brass patina to the grip, nice blue finish to the steel scabbard with a few small surface dents.
