Unusual WW1 British .303 sweetheart 'Bullet' Pendant fitted with Miniature Royal Engineers GvR Badge

Here on offer is a WW1 British .303 sweetheart 'Bullet' pendant, fitted with a miniature gilt brass and enamel Royal Engineers badge.The bullet with a rounded tip, looks to be from a WW1 period British .303 Mk VI ball round.Mounted on the front is a finely detailed miniature Royal Engineers GvR badge/crest, made from gilt brass and enamel, with a King's crown. The red enamel seems to be all in place but areas of the light blue and dark blue enamel is now missing.The top of the bullet is fitted with a brass ring, allowing it to be worn as a pendant on a chain by a soldier's sweetheart.The bullet measures 1.7' (4.4cm) long, including the ring.
