1941 Dated Japanese Army Issue Scythe with Cover

The scythe has an overall length from the top to the base of the handle of approximately 15-1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 5-1/2 inches. The blade shows use, with grime and surface rust. The handle bears kanji markings which include the date of 'Showa 16', or '1941'.
