In a very good condition a stunning German Kriegsmarine Officer Cape 'Spanier' Umhang fĂŒr Offiziere.The wool cape comes in a very good mannequin size and is complete with a high quality silk lining insize.Original attached are the Kriegsmarine buttons and the lionhead chain attachment.Inside the lining pocket is the cloth label present of the maker 'Lafrenz & Kroll from Kiel' and dated June 1937.The name of the owner is nicely written 'Dipl. Lt. Ing. Zschetzsching'.Lt. Ing. Zschetzching was commander of the special U-boat engine personnel training school in Horten. Technical Training Group for Boats (Technische Ausbildungsgruppe fĂŒr Front-U-Boote) . The group was subordinate to the head of the submarine training flotillas (FĂŒhrer der Unterseebootsausbildungsflottillen) - Gotenhafen.Lt. Ing. Zschetzching and later KapitĂ€nleutnant Ing. Zschetzching played a secret role in march 1945 with the last U-boats that went out just ahead of the collapse of the third reich.A very stunning Cape!
