M43 Waffen-SS officers single button field cap in gabardine

M43 cap for Waffen-SS officers. Shows removed flatwire skull on the front of the cap, the flatwire officer eagle still remains present and looks to be period applied. Silver officer tresse surounds the cap. The cap itself is executed in captured Italian gabardine cloth, as seen a lot with late war SS headgear. Size marked 59. The grey colored silk liner shows some sweat staining and light wear.
