USA : Indian Wars Medal 1865-1891.

Bronze medal instituted in 1907 and awarded retrospectively to soldiers who had been engaged in operations against the native Americans between 1865 and 1891, Originally the ribbon was all red but had the two black stripes added in 1917 (I believe to stop French WW1 soldiers mistaking the ribbon for the Legion d'Honneur). This is a later striking complete with pin-back suspender bar. Excellent condition.
