A scarce original circa 1937 period 'Swindon & North Wiltshire Victoria Hospital State Registerd Nurse pin badge'; oxidized silver plated example bearing laurel edge title surround, the embossed centre depicting Hygieia the Goddess of Health, Cleanliness and Hygiene, holding up The Lamp and leaning on the Staff of Asclepius; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'THOMAS FATTORINI LTD REGENT ST BIRMINGHAM' and engraved with the recipients details 'L. Price S.R.N 1937'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, very minor service wear.Diameter approx 29mm.
