Description
Early SA 'Braunhemd' tunic with Musiker-Abteilung features, complete with original Schwalbennester (swallow-nests) indicating assignment to an SA Musikkorps. This is a very early and increasingly hard-to-find example of the brownshirt field blouse style. The tunic shows period wear but remains in good original condition. The collar exhibits some light fraying from use, and the insignia display small areas of moth activity, consistent with age. The yellow piped shoulder boards and yellow collar patches (with unit markings 'I/73') are intact and indicate the region SA-Gruppe Niederrhein. The Schwalbennester are original to the garment and show the correct construction and stitching expected of early SA musician equipment. An NSDAP swastika armband was once present; faint stitching traces remain visible where it was removed post-period. The body of the tunic is lightly worn, with normal signs of age but no major structural issues. All buttons appear original, and the material maintains its authentic early SA color tone.Overall, this is a rare and completely original early SA Musiker tunic, seldom encountered in this configuration and condition today. A significant and collectible example of early SA uniform history.
